The Correct Ratio for a Traditional Vinaigrette

This traditional vinaigrette has just 6 ingredients and mixes up in less than 10 minutes.

The ratio of oil to vinegar for a traditional vinaigrette is 3 to 1.  So if you start with 1/3 cup of vinegar you'll use 1 cup oil.

BUT WAIT . . .

Everyone's taste preferences are different. Maybe you like your vinaigrette more sweet or more sour or milder.

Ingredients

minced shallot, agave (or other sweetener), mustard, salt, vinegar. EV olive oil

all ingredients except the oil

Mix until the mustard  is incorporated

While whisking, add the oil  in 4 additions.
